16 inches of new snow and 30+ wind gusts TODAY = blizzard!!!
and it's still coming down at 10:00pm.
This morning we went to church and it was snowing but by the time we were on our way home the snow was REALLY coming down.  Josh took the tractor and did a run around 2:00 and by the time we went out to play at 4:00 his tracks were completely covered.
He will have a nice project tomorrow.

Out the back door, we could barely see the lake - 140' away.

Detroit Lakes - they call it HOME!

It's official!  On Friday, Feb 1, 2013 Grandma and Grandpa Hochgraber moved in (at least a few items) into their new home in Detroit Lakes!!!  That's right, G & G will be 15 minutes away instead of 1 hour and 30 minutes.  They will not live here permanently until this summer but now when they come to DL to visit, they can stay in their own home.

We celebrated by going over to their house after work and having Pizza Friday with them and Uncle Ben.  The company was great, but pizza was another story - see pictures below.  We are still not sure what happened, but we made memories!
This room is slated for the playroom.

Here is what happened to the pizza, again we are not really sure, but we are sure the pizza pan started to burn.  The next picture only shows a glimpse of how much smoke was in the house.
This is not a bad picture, it was just that smoky!
Hanging out around the.....table?
 Making Daddy proud playing catch.
Nora - crazy busy.  Since she is officially walking, she is on the go and as you see below, our little dare devil or likes to be tossed around.

Creighton - had a tough day.  He was ready to go to bed but he just sit an play quietly with a drum lid until it was time to go.
Welcome to Detroit Lakes Pat & Keith,
we are all so happy to have you here!

Audrey's calender to plan the week.  We write down what we did or use stickers to symbolize church, Sunday school, being a good listener - you got the point.  It's fun to put on stickers, stickers, stickers!

let it snow....let me use my toy, FINALLY :)  We got 12" on snow and Josh was up at 5 am blowing the snow with a smile on his face.

12 month check up for the twins:
Nora is 17 pounds (5th percentile)and 28 inches (13th percentile).  She is our BUSY ONE and goofy - she makes us laugh!  She is walking, loves playing with anything that anyone else is playing with - she's a little of a bully right now, loves knocking anything off of the end tables, still waiting for hair :), loves eggs, pancake, oatmeal, bananas and black beans.
Creighton Bud is 20 pounds (9th percentile)  and 29 inches (19th percentile).  He is trying to walk, loves playing catch with his daddy, fetch (he tosses the ball and crawls to it and repeats), has lots of hair (haircut #2 this weekend), loves his carbs - pasta, bread, oatmeal, crackers, and green beans.
Both have big smiles, are clappers, love playing with big sis and going outside - it's an instant smile on their faces!
It's been a CRAZY fast year!

Audrey has her 4 year old appointment soon, we'll keep you posted on that one too.

YARD SALE!
I was in the kitchen cooking and Audrey called me into the living room.  She said, "Mom, I set up for a yard sale!"  She took every toy that were in the bins in the living room and place it on the table.  I wanted to throw up my arms but all I could do is laugh!

Audrey turns 4!
Monessa had a party for Audrey.  She made her famous chocolate chip cookie cake and this year Audrey picked Hello Kitty decorations.
She received a number of great gifts.  Audrey had to make us pizza and cupcakes right away when she got home.

We have our family birthday celebration 2/2...more pictures to come from that celebration.

The Twins are ONE
Monessa had a party for them and they received great gifts from their friends.
The rocking horse gift was a hit, everyone took turns tonight.

Family Sled Ride

Today we went to a family sled ride through the neighborhood and ended up on the lake (about an hour walk/hike through the snow).  Beautiful day to be outside.
We thought we were going to lose Creighton as his eye were getting heavy. To our surprise he made it....all the way to the highchair and then we lost the battle
I love the look of homes with a snow covered roof and trees.

It was perfect weather to bundle up and head outside.  The kids simply love the fresh air!
G & G wanted in on the photo opt too :)
Emma & Riley - they could take Audrey out with the wag of their tail!
Audrey helping with chores, the kittens need to be fed too!
Almost walking....taking about 10 steps on her own!
Mr. C content hanging out in the warm barn.
Chores are done...time to ride

Thanks Ben & Cara for a great Christmas experience!
